Chatbot Experience Design at Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA)

CHALLENGE

Design a new interaction experience for Veterans to check their disability rating(s) on the VA chatbot, modeled off the existing disability ratings tool on VA.gov.

SOLUTION

Develop a conversational experience with 4 user sub-flows based on different disability rating combinations.

HOW I HELPED

  • Conducted discovery sessions with VA.gov stakeholders to understand key pieces of data related to disability ratings and define requirements.

  • Developed new copy and visuals for user testing, synthesized research findings, and published approved copy through the VA.gov Design System.
